"Yes?" Lily answered her daughter, she opened the door quickly and tried to pretend that she wasn't saying anything about her.
"Why did you go in there? I mean, you can talk to me you know? I am your daughter..."
Milla was lying and she didn't even know it. Those words mocked Lily, and stabbed her in the heart.
"Y-yes, I thought the alarm went off." She hastily lied to cover up.
"But why did Dad go too?"
"I came because I hadn't made the bed. Your mother reminded me to." Darren stepped in.
"Fine. I'm going out tonight with George."
"Okay, be back before 10!" Lily told Milla.
"No, it's a party at the Ashtons' house, George invited me, it's a weekend and I'm staying over there." She paused. "Oh and by the way, I'm not sleeping with him. I'm in his sisters' room!"
She stormed out the house and walked to school.
Marie's film was going well, they were finalizing it, and she had been paid for her efforts. Her and her co-star, Delvin, had struck up quite the relationship, they had become good friends, and Marie and her family were going round for dinner tonight.
"Louis, don't forget we're going to the Ashtons' house tonight! Their having a dinner party and we're all invited."
"Okay, I'll get home early, Love you." He kissed his wife goodbye.
"James, we're going to the Ashtons' house tonight, they have invited us around, they said you can bring a friend." Marie asked her youngest son.
"Oh, I'll ask Rose next door, she's really nice, and she is very polite, Mummy."
"Okay, I'll pick you two up from school this afternoon."
And off Marie went to tell George.
"George! Where are you!"
"In here Mum!"
"Well, we're going over to the Ashtons' tonight, are you bringing Milla?"
"Yeah, the two kids are teens now right? In high school?"
"Yep, Austin and Hanna. Twins."
"Okay, We're both defiantly coming."
Melanie was alone. In her room. It was really dark, Louis was always at work, so he barely saw her. George didn't come to see her anymore, And Marie only came in to put her to bed. She was really lonely.
The Ashtons' lived in a very sophisticated part of town, not many people lived there. Alisha worked at the hospital as a surgeon, and Delvin was an actor. The twins hadn't got jobs yet, but they were going to get ones at the shops.
*DING DONG*
"Oh, Delvin, They're here!" Alisha called down to her husband.
"Okay, I'll get it."
"Hello!" Marie kissed Delvin lightly on the cheek.
"Marie! This little girl must be Melanie! Hello cutie!" Delvin cuddled the baby.
"Thank you for having us round, Delvin!" Louis shook Delvin's hand tight.
George and Milla were hugging and kissing the whole time, they didn't really stop!
Rose and James played in Hanna and Austins' old bedrooms, they were joined by them later.
"So, hows school?" Hanna asked James and Rose.
"It's okay, I mean, it's school right?" James replied smoothly. He got that from his mother.
"Haha, you're right kiddo." Austin chuckled.
"I hate it too, I'd rather be with you, James." Rose twinkled. She was only ten, but she was sure an early starter!
"Ooooh feel the heat!" Hanna giggled and joked with the little ones.
Hanna really grew fond of Rose, they are best friends and hugged as they left, Hanna tried to paint her new friend.
Melanie cried a little, she was tired, but at least she was getting attention.
Everyone headed home and went to bed, Milla and Rose stayed over because it was a Saturday.
James and Rose were up all night and played with their toys. Milla and George weren't allowed to sleep in the same room, so James and Rose slept downstairs on the sofas, and Milla slept in the spare bed in Melanies' room.
Hanna and Austin had a bit of sense and locked the doors and windows and went to bed.
