Chapter Ten, Everybody's in Love? Part Two.

Please get your parents permission before reading this blog, there are some things your parents may or may not want you reading. Don't say I didn't warn you ;-)

It was the crack of the night, hundreds of teenagers across the town were buzzing with excitement and adrenaline. Hanna and Pete were the first couple to arrive. George and Milla went to the prom, even though they weren't supposed to.

Of course, prom wouldn't be prom without the bitch-fights or the drama, and this prom is no exception!
Anna Pollo, the school's lead cheerleader, was forcing her 'gang' of girls to get her things. She was spiteful, manipulative and yet so beautiful!

"Jenna, Go fetch me a drink, vodka and coke, lots of ice. Go!" She demanded
Jenna didn't hesitate, and didn't look Anna in the eye.
She returned a few moments later, with a drink in her hand.
"NO! Jenna! There's too much ice and its too strong with vodka, take it back!"
"Y-yes Anna!"
"While you're there, get me something to throw over Florence, I need some fun. Red wine! Oooh this will be fun!"

Jenna reluctantly got some ammo for Anna to throw at her friend. Jenna knew that if she didn't follow Anna around like her slave, she would be tormented and tortured day in day out. Jenna was an albino. She had pale white skin, and matching light blonde hair, with pale pink eyes. She was an attractive girl despite her albinism.

She looked down at the floor as she gave Anna her drink and the wine.
Anna took a sip of both drinks.
"I want you to throw this over Florence," Said Anna spitefully as she gestured to the wine.
"I-I can't!" She whimpered.
"Why not!" Anna shouted, "Oh, whats that? Is it Danny? Whats he saying? Oh. He'll only notice you if your with me? Well, what about your lame-ass friend? Leave her? I don't think little Jenna can do that... I mean risk her friendship for a boy? Oh well if she doesn't, she'll never have ANYONE?" She taunted. Anna didn't need an answer.

Jenna continued to look down at the floor, and grabbed the wine glass from Anna's grasp.
Will she do it? Find out later on!

Austin approached Kendra. He was so worried and scared.
Kendra herself was shaking and was terrified. She thought he was going to hurt her or humiliate her.
"Umm... Hi. Do you wanna um.. Dance?" Austin managed to say.

Kendra was stunned anyone wanted to talk to her, let alone dance with her!
"Yes!" She was so happy! For once in her life she had accomplished happiness.
He took her hand in his and they danced on the dance floor for hours. They laughed and giggled together all night long and they had become so close in so little time. All Kendra ever wanted was a friend, someone to talk to, someone to laugh with, someone to cry with, someone to love. Now she finally had one, a boy, who was the best person in the whole world to her.

Austin held her close for a hug, she didn't resist when he leaned in for a kiss. Kendra kissed him back and they walked into the bar together, they ordered more drinks and they guzzled them down in seconds, they were getting drunk.

Kendra was becoming her old self again, throwing herself at people when she's drunk.
She launched herself at him and pushed him into the girls' toilets. She ripped off his top and flung off her dress...
Was she making the biggest mistake of her life... All over again?

Hanna and Pete had been lazing by the lounge area. Pete poured his heart out at her.
"I love you so much Hanna, I know that one day, I will marry you, and make you the happiest girl in the world," He pulled her in tight and held her in a long embrace
"You already have," She whispered in his ear.
She pulled his face close to hers, and kissed him lightly.

"Oh my god! There announcing prom king and queen!!!" Everyone shouted over each other.
Clifford Deal, the principal, walked up onto the stage and opened the piece of paper with the news everyone was waiting for... Who won the prestigious title of Prom King and Queen.
"Crescent Moon High School Prom King 2011 is....... Pete Doe!" Clifford announced.
"Woo! Go Pete!" Hanna cheered for her boyfriend. She desperately wanted to be his queen.
"Now onto Prom Queen... The 2011 Prom Queen is....... Anna Pollo! Congratulations!"
"Oh! This is so unexpected! I'm really pleased to say, that I thank you my fellow students, and I think we make a good king and queen!" She flirted with Pete.
"Pfft. Please, there's only one queen for me, Hanna Ashton." He said as he took off the crown and threw it to the floor. He walked up to his girlfriend and kissed her.

Some of the bachelors tried their luck with the other girls, like Mint. He knew nobody would go on a date with a green boy! Or at least that's what he thought. He sat alone outside, with a can of sprite in his hand. He drank the whole can through depression.

Florence was watching him. She had always admired his spirit.
"Guess it's run out now..." She sighed as she saw him. She took a deep breath and walked up to him.
"Flo? What are you doing here? I thought you would be out dancing with the girls, being happy, not out here."
"No, Jenna's being Anna's slave again, and Kendra is busy with Austin, Hanna doesn't like me, Alisha is taking the pictures, and everyone else has a date or is busy doing something."
"Oh, Well have a drink and sit here if you like."
"Okay,"

Florence fiddled with her ginger hair and adjusted her glasses. She walked up to the bar and ordered some nachos for her and Mint, then got herself a diet coke.
"Thanks! I was really hungry! You're a life saver, Flo!" Mint grinned.
She just smiled and drank her coke.
"They just announced Prom King and Queen... It was Anna and Pete. Can you believe it?" Florence told Mint who had missed all of the celebrations.
"I don't really care about them..." He drifted on.."So, Where is your date?" Mint asked curiously. They had been friends since they were 6.
"Um. Well. I... I don't have one. Nobody asked me, and I was kind of to shy to ask anyone so I guess I came alone."
"Huh, same here. You could have asked me. I would have come with you," He paused "As friends. I mean, it's not like I don't like you, I do, but I, um, urr, ahh, I'm a terrible explainer..." He took a deep breath, and was about to speak when Florence but her finger on his lips, and kissed him lightly.

"Is that better?" She asked.
Mint stood there speechless and looked at Florence.
"What did I do wrong?" She asked worriedly.
"Nothing. I um. It's not you it's me!" He shouted as he ran into the toilets.


Florence sat down and sobbed. Her make-up ran down her face. She didn't care. She ordered a vodka tonic, and drank out her sorrows. Her teacher told the bar-tender not to give her anymore, no matter how much she whined and begged.
Mint looked at himself in the mirror.

"Why did you do that! Florence is a perfect girl! She loves you and would do anything for you! Whatever chance you had is gone now! You stupid, stupid boy!" He roared at his reflection.
Mint gelled his hair back up, and walked calmly back outside to see a very drunk Florence.

"Flo, I'm taking you home. You're drunk, and you're going to get hurt like this." He said as he picked her up and flung her over his shoulders and carried her back to her house in the darkness.

Anna had become annoyed with Jenna, She still hadn't ruined Florence's dress. Anna considered her dates as accessories, you can never have too many.
She had dragged Aidan Loore, Rafeal Kenoff, and the Chaznar Twins, along with her, and they were oblivious to her actions. They were awestruck by her beauty, and didn't notice she was hitting on every male in the prom, even her teachers! She had bribed one of the them to give her an A on the next test.
"Jenna, Why haven't you spoilt Florence's dress yet!" She growled.

"I-I think she has gone home. I saw Mint taking her home, she looked ill."
"Well, I know where we're going, You and me, Jenna." Anna flashed a devilish smile and fished in her purse for her car-keys and they drove down the road.

Kendra had pinned Austin to the wall in the cubicle. She sucked his face, then she began to do things she hadn't done since she moved schools....

"Kendra. Stop." Austin gasped between moans.
"Youuu... Knoow... Youu... Likee it!" She drunkenly spat out. She forced herself on him and kissed him.
"No, Kendra, I don't. I liked the old you, before you became a whore!" He shouted at her, and pushed her to the floor.

Austin walked out of the prom, and walked home in the darkness.


George and Milla were falling asleep in the dinner hall, they were tired and needed some sleep.

**Flashback - Milla**
I walked around the adoption agency. I  had been stuck in there for what seemed like years. There was nobody my age, so I had to play alone in the sand-pit. I had no childhood. Nobody had taught me basic life skills, nobody was there to care for me. Just my teddy bear. I crawled up to my room, along the hall and up the stairs, and into my pit of torture. The bed had a broken headboard and a lumpy mattress, but there was no point whining about it, I knew nothing would happen. I had a thin quilt, and it was torn and cold. My bedroom had no toys or anything to play with. Just imagination.

Last night I escaped through the bathroom window. I ran down to the diner and stole some of the nannies' money to buy a hot meal. There was a lady with long blonde hair, she gave me a glass of orange juice and a ham and cheese sandwich. I guess they took pity on me here. She watched me walk home and told me to take care of myself. As I snuck back to the center, there was a man in a long black coat with a deep voice. I ran away from him, but he followed me. I'm really scared. What if he knows where I am? What if he will get me? But maybe he is a nice man? I'm not sure. But I think I saw him out my window today, the man looked very similar. He came in to see one of the nannies, and asked around for a girl with pink and purple hair, they told him all about me I'm sure! I'm the only one with pink and purple hair.
There's a knock at my door, it's the nanny.
"Milla, there is someone here to see you,"
"Who is it?" I asked her.
"He didn't say his name, just go and see him," she ordered me
I walked down to see who it was, and it was the man. He came for me.
I couldn't see all of his face, just his grey eyes. They never left my face and it scared me.
"Who are you and what do you want from me?" I asked terrified.
"I want to take you home," He said emotionless.
"But why?"
"Because I want to,"
"I don't want to go with you! I want a mum!" I wailed
"Well too bad! If I can't have you, nobody can! I'll make sure of it!" He screamed at me.

The nannies' heard him and took him away and escorted me back up to my room. My heart was pounding. Someone wanted me, for no apparent reason, and I was terrified.

**PRESENT TENSE**
Milla woke up with her heart pounding.
"I'm adopted?" She cried to herself.
George was still asleep, and Milla tried to get back to sleep, but she couldn't, not with the thought of being lied to all these years...


Kendra had passed out on the floor in the toilets, she had a concussion. She had locked herself in the toilet to cry before Austin left... Nobody would be able to find her, she was locked in the toilet cubicle, alone, passed out, and possibly seriously injured...

Austin strutted off home, it was so dark that you couldn't even distinguish the grass from the road. He had had a few too many drinks at the bar with Kendra, he was getting dizzy and tired.



Mint was still carrying Florence on his shoulders, she was really heavy too.
He dropped Florence on the floor and picked her back up to lay her on the bench. Mint looked around for his phone, but he had left it in the hall, or somewhere in the prom. He knew not to wake Flo' and look for her's, so he looked around the bench for a pay-phone. He had a couple of pounds in his pocket.
It seemed like he had walked around in the dark for hours, but in reality, he had only walked for 10 minutes. It was cold and he returned back to the bench where Florence was. She shivered as he touched her bare skin. He took off his jacket and lay it on her. Mint fell asleep on the floor below her.

"Jenna, Can you drive any slower?" Anna asked sarcastically.

"I-I'm sorry, I can't see in the dark," She whimpered.

"Fine, turn the lights on then!" She moaned.
Jenna turned on the lights, and she could see a lot better. She began to drive faster. Anna fell asleep, she had had a bit too much to drink, and what with her lack of sleep the night before, she drifted off in the passenger seat next to Jenna. Jenna was also a bit sleepy, but she was completely sober, she wasn't allowed to drink alcohol. Jenna's eye lids began to close. It was dawning on 3am. She fell asleep at the wheel, but continued to drive in her sleep....

(Far left)Danny Fazz, the school geek, came to the prom without a date. He wasn't successful with the ladies. He shy'ed away from a social life, and continued to work on his body and his brain. He was extremely clever, and had an immaculate body. He could've had any girl he wanted, but he was so socially awkward, he didn't know how. People avoided him, they thought he was weird. Jenna had taken an interest in him a few months back, she was stuck on a question in her maths class.
If x=4, what is 5x+-5?

She walked over to ask him to help her, he showed her how to work it out. He touched her by accident.
"Oh, um, sorry!" He said shyly and embarrassed.
"No problem," She giggled.
"Quiet down at the back there!" Jay Doe, Their teacher shouted.
Danny had bright pink cheeks, and Jenna too! He was worried she was laughing at him, and not 'like liking' him. And she was giggling so much that she had flushed cheeks.

Danny was lonely at the prom on his own, he went to get his picture developed from Alisha Mystery, she had gone into the toilets for a moment.

There was a moan, almost silent in the toilets where Alisha was.
"Hello?" She called out.
"Mehhh," Kendra groaned out
"Kendra? Is that you? Open the door!" She cried for her friend.
Kendra didn't move. She was half asleep still. Alisha decided to climb over and get her out.
"I'm coming in!" The daredevil announced to Kendra.
Kendra mumbled something.
As Alisha jumped over, she noticed Kendra was half naked and slightly bruised.
"W-What happened, Kendra? Why are you bare?"
She didn't have the strength to answer her.
Kendra collapsed in Alisha's arms.
"Oh my god! Danny! Help me!" She cried as she dragged Kendra's lifeless body through the door.
"What the hell? What happened to her?" He gasped
"I think she tried it on with someone, and was unsuccessful. Then she locked herself in the toilet, and passed out. I reckon she's got alcohol poisoning."
"Unfortunately, I think you may be right." Danny said as he pulled out his phone and dialed for an ambulance.
"Kendra, listen to me if you can hear me, it's Danny, you know, Danny from Maths? Well you're not feeling too good, and we're taking you to the hospital. If you can hear me, say something, anything at all."
Kendra tried to speak, but she was unable. She tried to hit them to let them know, but she couldn't. She tried to breath, but she couldn't....
"Danny, I think she's choking! Get George!" Alisha wailed.
Danny woke up George and told him to come immediately, George was training to be a doctor, so if they had the slightest chance of bringing her around, George would be their only hope.

"She's choking! Get some water!" George ordered
Kendra was choking on her own vomit, making it impossible to breath. George pushed down hard on her chest to make her breath. He couldn't hear a heart beat. Eventually, after making her drink, she sputtered and a her heart beat for a bit.
"Come on Kendra!" He told her, "It's George, I want you to try and be sick, okay? It's all right, Alisha and Danny found you, I'm here and so is an ambulance. Your going to be okay."
The ambulance arrived just in time.

The nurses and doctors carried Kendra away on a stretcher, and thanked Alisha, Danny and George for their efforts. They were heroes in their own right.
She was rushed away to hospital. Her fate was unknown until the morning. She was being monitored all night, and her parents were notified, and rushed up to the hospital with their son, Matt.
Matt had grown up (-____- without being asked to)

Alisha and Danny went to the hospital to see her later, they felt responsible and they had to answer some questions about what they had seen.

Anna woke up first, she saw bright lights, and a figure in front of her. They were still moving. Jenna was asleep and Anna screamed.
"AHH!"
Jenna was woken up by her screams. She looked forward to see a person, but couldn't make out who it was, then she was a tree, she slammed on the brakes, but she didn't make it in time.
"I'm sorry!" Jenna cried to Anna as they met their destiny.
There was blood on the ground, but who did it belong to?

It was time to leave the prom, everyone checked everywhere for Jenna, Anna, Austin, Mint and Florence, they weren't in the building, and didn't sign to say they left. Hanna was worried about her twin, Austin.
"Pete, What if Austin is stuck somewhere? Outside in the dark?" She fretted.
"Let's go and find him." He suggested
The pair walked off into the street, and ran off to find Austin.
